ARC Linkage Projects for Funding Commencing In 2009

 

The Linkage Projects Funding Rules for funding commencing in 2009 are now available from the ARC website.

 

Linkage Projects proposals submitted in 2008 (for funding commencing in 2009) are due for submission at the following times:

 

2009 Flinders Research Grant funding scheme

 

Flinders Research Grants (FRG) aim to support new research, including:

  • high quality research projects of modest cost;
  • pilot projects as the first stage in the process of gaining external grant support; and
  • projects submitted by early career researchers (ECR) showing clear evidence of high research capacity.

The 2009 funding round for this scheme is now open, and applications are due by COB Tuesday, 7 October 2008. There will be no extensions permitted.

Myer Foundation Small Grants Program

 

The Sidney Myer Fund continues to fund the arts, and seeks to play a critical role in upholding the integrity of the arts community within Australia by supporting artistic initiatives that often fall outside other funding agendas.

 

The current priority areas in the Myer Foundation Arts and Humanities Small Grants Program are as follows:

  • To build capacity of the individual through ensuring that indigenous and non-indigenous artists gain access to professional training, development and mentoring;
  • Develop new works by individual Australian artists and small and medium-sized organisations in the following priority areas:
    - Indigenous arts
    - Regional areas
    - Experimental and emerging art forms;
  • Projects that support the humanities, especially those that contribute to defining a distinct Australian identity.

Application closing dates for 2008 are:

  • Tuesday 1st April 2008
  • Wednesday 25th June
  • Thursday 16th October.

United States Studies Centre - 2009 Research Grants

 

The United States Studies Centre at that University of Sydney is pleased to announce a new research grants competition for 2009, aimed at supporting the US-focused research activities of academic staff in the Humanities and Social Sciences at Australian universities.

 

Applications close on 31 October 2008.
