Cape Jervis to Penneshaw (return) by ferry is about $82 if you book online. If you wish to take your car on the ferry, you can do so from Cape Jervis; the cost is about $121 each way for one passenger plus one standard vehicle.
Alternatively, coach connections from Adelaide to Cape Jervis are available; the price is about $135 return. Please note that you’ll need to click the ‘Ferry Availability’, then click ‘return’ and make sure that you click ‘Coach Connection’ just below that if you wish to include the coach from Adelaide in your booking. The Adelaide Central Bus Station is located at 85 Franklin Street, Adelaide (about 10 minutes by taxi from the airport).
The entire journey between Adelaide and Penneshaw, by coach and ferry, takes approximately two hours and 45 minutes.

Flights are available from Adelaide to Kingscote (Kangaroo Island), and if you check regularly you can book red hot specials for around $86 (one way). You would then need to arrange local transport to Penneshaw from Kingscote. KI Transfers offers an airport shuttle to Penneshaw at a cost of $80 per person.
